All,
We're taking a coaster trip to Germany and the Netherlands this summer in June. The last park in the trip is Efteling. Anyone have any advice if we added one more park, which one? One of the two above, or another one in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Northern France before we go back to the UK via the Euro Tunnel?
Which of the wood coasters at these two Walibi parks is better? I know Robin Hood used to get good reviews, but I notice that last year that Loup Garou was quite a bit higher on Mitch's poll.

Also, any recommendations for other parks in Germany that weren't on the ACE Europe Trip last year? I was thinking Legoland, because my kids really like Legoland. Any other good parks might be a possbility..

As far as the woodies, I'd rank Robin Hood and Loup Garou about equally. Both are fun, neither is worth a special trip for.
So let's say those cancel each other out.

Both parks have a boomerang and an SLC, so those cancel as well.

Ditto for a ladybug kiddie coaster.

So for unique coasters, Holland has an outdoor clone of Rock N Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Unlike Disney's version, this one is terrible. Transitions are brutal, the layout is uninteresting without being in the dark, and it was a one-and-done for me.
The other Holland coaster is Goliath, a very good steel airtime machine with a ridiculously cool maneuver near the beginning before the turnaround. Honestly, this is the only reason I'd go back to this park.

Belgium IMHO is a prettier park and their SLC is surprisingly not that bad. Their unique coasters include Calamity Mine (which is actually a production model, but they've done boffo landscaping and theming that makes it quite good) and the reworked Schwarzkopf shuttle.
I haven't been there since the shuttle got refurbished, but "back in the day" it was AWESOME. It's the one shuttle that topped SFAW's Greezed Lightnin on my list. Even if the ride itself isn't what it used to be, the uniqueness of it (only Schwarzkopf shuttle with 3rd-party trains and launch system, only one indoors) would be enough for me to consider it a "must-do" if I was in the area.

That's a tough one.

In Belgium's favor, I though that Loup-Garou was quite a bit better than
Robin Hood, but that was also back in 2002 when I rode both. But it has
consistently (except for the first year outlier) ranked a good dozen or
more notches above RH in Mitch's poll every year.

Plus there is the uniqueness of a Scwartzkopf shuttle look with new LIM
launching. I have no idea if that's a good or bad thing, though. But at
least it's unique.

In Holland's favor is Intamin's Goliath, which has ranked in the top 20 in
Mitch's poll since it opened, including quite some time in the top 10.
Plus, you've got Robin Hood and Rock N Roller Coaster outdoors.

Honestly, it's a toss-up. I'd probably give a slight edge to Holland.
Either one is a good choice. Both is even better!

What parks are in the list?

It might be too far south for you, but I'd personally recommend Parc Asterix over either of the Walibi parks.

Richard,
I'm a big fan of Parc Asterix, been there 4 times, recently was there last April. The family took a spring break trip to Paris last spring including Disney and Parc Asterix! It was great and I'm still a big fan of Parc Asterix. Looking for places we haven't been. Just realized we might stop and ride Ring Racer at that big race track in Germany since we are driving right near there.
I've scheduled 9 days for out trip, with two travel days, not sure we'll have time for another park now. I've already made hotel reservations for everyday except for one. Trying to hit some other parks, but not sure we have the time/money to extend the trip

This spring we are visiting southern UK parks during spring break (we live in Harrogate). Right now have Great Yarmouth, Pleasurewood Hills, Adventure Island, Chessington WoA, Brighton Pier, and Oakwood. All new to us. We're also visiing some historical sites, another beach town, and the Dr. Who Experience in Cardiff! Should be a good week. Last spring we did Legoland/Thorpe Park/Alton Towers on a long weekend too. We're just trying to hit things while we're in the UK. Hope to hit Drayton Manor sometime this summer too.

I did the Doctor Who experience while it was in London before the ACE
Scandi trip in 2011. It was the main reason for my London stop, although I
enjoyed the parks and sightseeing a lot! But as a long-time Doctor Who
fan, who's seen every existing episode, it was AWESOME! And they've only
added more to it since then.

I'll be interested to see if they eventually change the main show, since it
stars the 11th Doctor.

Last Summer Deb and kids went to Cardiff and did the Doctor Who Experience and they LOVED it! The exhibit is quite big and they want to go back and since we're going to Oakwood well make another stop.
