My four year old girl (soon to be 5 year old) really loved the Grizzly at
Paramount's Great America (wooden roller coaster). Unfortunately, at
48", she's too short for the Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz and we were
turned away.

We're going to San Diego next week, and I remember that there is a
relatively small wooden roller coaster by the beach at Mission Bay. Does
anyone know the minimum height, or know a phone # I can call to find out?

I *think* it's 48 inches. Actually, strike that....I'm just guessing. My
guess is based on the fact that it is a VERY rough woodie. Grizzly is
quite tame compared to SD's Giant Dipper. Great coaster, just REALLY
rough.

As a result of an e-mail from someone who read the post, I found out that
the coaster is located at Belmont Park. I then got the number from San
Diego infomration, and found that the minimum height is 50".

So I guess we'll have to wait a few months.

I'ts a wonderful coaster and can be extremely rough, especially when
riding back seat alone, at night !
