Many moons ago as a child I remember seeing several huge
(to me at that time, of course!) steam locomotives in the
Henry Ford museum in Dearborn, MI. Now it's time for me to
take MY kids to see some of the wonders of our industrial
heritage. Anyone have a roster of these locos?

Regards,
Jeff

Whenever I return from a trip abroad I'm always amazed by two things: how
much wide open space we have in this country, and how bad the roads are.

Free Hint:

Technology Enthusiasts:

Do not skip the Ford Museum. Cars are a minor part of it.

Goodly RR, muchly olde technology of every sort. Go.

Allow half day minimum, not counting the associated "Olde Greenfield
Village.

Henry Ford got his start as a STEAM engineer, on farm tracion engines...

They have 10 small to midsize steam locomotives
1 gas-mechanical
2 diesel electrics
and a real giant: C&O 1601, a Lima 2-6-6-6
