Motorola TPN1106A switching power supply. It's my understanding that these
are getting pretty hard to find and they are coveted by repeater builders
for their reliability, efficiency, and quiet operation. This switching
power supply produces multiple voltage outputs, including 9.6 VDC for
electronics, 13.8 VDC@30 amps for powering RF amps, and adjustable voltage
for keeping backup batteries of different types charged at the proper
voltage. This power supply will keep the batteries charged and
automatically switch to battery/emergency power supply operation in the
event of AC failure. This power supply has obvious age on the metal
chassis, but she appears to be in good working order, with the output
voltages checking good. Despite being a relatively HUGE power supply, all
you ever hear is a slight squeak when you first power her up because this a
switching power supply. Beyond that, there is absolutely no hum, buzz, or
anything. You can't even tell it's switched on unless you check the
voltages.
I'm willing to entertain reasonable offers, with Payment to be via Paypal
if shipped, but to be honest, this is a VERY HEAVY power supply. Motorola
built these things like tanks, so I'd much rather see someone close yo my
QTH in Opelika, AL purchase this and pick it up. Nonetheless, I am willing
to discuss shipping or arrangements to meet somewhere if it's within a

Panel with three high quality analog meters and built-in speaker. I have
checked the meters and they all work great. Not sure about the "Power"
and "Transmit" lamps, but pop-in replacements should be readily available
at most electronic supply retailers. There is obvious rust on the chrome
bezels around the two indicator lights, but again that should be a simple
replacement or it might be possible to clean that up with a Dremel and a
polishing wheel. This would be a great addition to a repeater system and
enclosure, or for a transmitter. Asking $100, which includes USPS Priority
Mail shipping anywhere in the U.S. No extra fee for using Paypal. I can be

Used this as my shack tuner for over 25 years, always worked perfectly.
Clean, with all screws and rear decal intact. Nonsmoking home. Original
paint and feet.
The extra SO-239 input connector on the rear goes to another tap on the
coil and is actually useful to increase the range of the unit. The T/R
relay has been bypassed. There are two small bumps and paint damage on the
right side panel. Original manual included.
Price $275 in cash, PayPal or USPS money order. You're welcome to pick it
up in the Chicago-Milwaukee area and you can see it in action. Otherwise
It'll go FedEx Ground/Home unless you have another preference. As-is, no

Used this as my shack tuner for over 25 years, always worked perfectly.
Clean, with all screws and rear decal intact. Nonsmoking home. Original
paint and feet.
The extra SO-239 input connector on the rear goes to another tap on the
coil and is actually useful to increase the range of the unit. The T/R
relay has been bypassed. There are two small bumps and paint damage on the
right side panel. Original manual included.
Price $275 in cash, PayPal or USPS money order. You're welcome to pick it
up in the Chicago-Milwaukee area and you can see it in action. Otherwise
It'll go FedEx Ground/Home unless you have another preference. As-is, no
refunds or returns.
