THE LIBERTY NET continues to become more and more well-known, with
numerous new stations hearing about us and checking in every week.
The Net Control Station, W1WCR, maintains a list of check-ins and
everyone gets his turn — but with the large number of newcomers,
that can sometimes take an hour!
Here’s my summary of just a few of the topics discussed this time on
amateur radio’s most exciting net:
• Isn’t it ironic that Obama is scolding the Egyptian government for
cutting off the Internet, while at the same time the Washington
regime is demanding a law that gives the executive branch an
Internet “kill switch” that would do exactly the same thing in this
country? (1 hour 9 minutes)
• A professor at the US Naval Academy (USNA) says that his school
will “do anything” to attract and promote non-White students. He
says that there is a two-tiered system in place under which
non-Whites are given easier assignments, enjoy lower admission and
promotion standards, and receive free “unlimited tutoring” that
White students aren’t allowed to get. The USNA’s commander admits as
much, saying that “diversity” is the Academy’s “number one
priority.” (1 hour 32 minutes)
• Not only does the Washington regime’s “citizen spy” program result
in numerous false alarms including malicious fake reports — not only
does it put out propaganda characterizing dissidents as suspicious
“potential terrorists” — but now a bill has been introduced to
prevent those who have been falsely accused from suing their
accusers. (1 hour 37 minutes)
• Is Glenn Beck’s recent odd behavior a result of his wanting to
create a buffer between his former opposition to Obama and a future
Beck — and future Fox News — that will be more supportive, possibly
of a “war president” Obama? Does this signal a change in the
establishment’s disinformation strategy at a high level? (2 hours 21
minutes)
• Andrew Jackson heroically fought to keep the international bankers
from taking over America, and suffered assassination attempts as a
result. Why, then, is he being attacked by Rupert Murdoch’s talking
head Glenn Beck? (2 hours 35 minutes)
• Expect Egyptian criminals and members of violent Egyptian sects to
be resettled here soon, as one result of the collapse of the puppet
government there. The regime in Washington has regularly done this
sort of thing — think of George W. Bush bringing Somalians to Maine,
for example — in order to destroy America’s unity and wipe out our
founding stock. (3 hours 45 minutes)
• While the world was watching Egypt — and while hundreds of
thousands of American taxpayers became impoverished — the
taxpayer-funded criminals at Goldman Sachs, including the infamous
Lloyd Blankfein, quietly tripled their salaries. (3 hours 59 minutes)
• Since the American people were tricked into accepting the illegal
Federal Reserve, they are not morally or legally responsible for any
of its debts. The day that we awaken and realize that fact will be a
great day in American history. (4 hours 4 minutes)

listening over the air, log on Saturday evenings beginning at 10PM
Eastern for live audio feeds of the Net (sometimes from several
stations simultaneously) and live text chat too at

All our thanks go to N2SAG and N2IRJ and especially W1WCR for their
hard work which makes the Liberty Net and its Internet adjuncts
possible. Remember, you can download the Net right here at

Really? What's evil about it?

It seems to have developed a reputation as a place where spammers and
others of their ilk post from. They think it may give them a sense of
anonymity. It may not be of benefit to your message if people were to
perceive you were trying to hide something.
I know you're not, but someone less familiar with your perspectives may
fall into an erroneous conclusion.
That's basically my view on it and is subjective in every way...
mike
Okay, thanks. Do aioe.org and x-privat.org and tioat.net have
similar reputations? They seem to be the only easy and free ways
(besides Google Groups, whose interface and censorship I find
intolerable) to get the discussion groups on Usenet these days.
I actually didn't much like eternal-september's servers -- difficult
to make it work with my newsreader and unreliable too. The reason I
was experimenting was because my preferred provider had an outage.
With my best,

KAS,
News.Eternal-September.Org for Text Newsgroups seems
http://www.eternal-september.org/
to work OK with Forté Agent 6.0 for Text Newgroups
http://www.forteinc.com/agent/
at least that has been my limited experience
using both together ~ RHF
Thanks!
I had a bad time with it and Mozilla Thunderbird.
But my preferred provider is back up again, so all is happy.
All the best,
Usenet spam used to be more of a problem a few years ago (though
rec.radio.shortwave was never affected too much), but it seems to be
receding -- along with the popularity of Usenet itself.
I didn't know about aioe's censorship, which is troubling. I only
tried them briefly, but their servers were so slow that in the short
term I was never quite sure if my posts were really posted or not
(sometimes they _would_ be posted even when Thunderbird said the
server timed out -- and sometimes not).
With all good wishes,

I can't imagine what kind of target demographic we're a part of. I've
been here since 1997 and this is the worst the spam gets, which isn't
[knock] bad. Some newsgroups are 10:1 advertising.
KAS,
Usually I run two Windows {Tabs} :
One with Forté Agent in it; and the
'other' with Google Groups* in it.
This allows me to Post via Forté Agent when needed;
and Verify within a Seconds at Google Groups that the
Post made it {posted ok}.
Note : Google Groups is now the Host Repository
for most of what was called the UseNet Archives.

I like violent rhetoric. But I'm mature and well adjusted and know the
difference between real and make-believe.
The hatred seen on racist Obama/Mexican opponents' faces cannot be put
into words. Once you get emotional you start losing control.

Google has brazenly broken the promises they made to users when they
took over the Usenet archives from Deja News. Among other things,
they have deleted whole newsgroups from the archive because they
didn't like their political content. See

Spring is visible on the horizon,
'crackers' ??? They actually have secret admirers ?
