Any other possibilities ??

Not meant to be funny. I'm actually seriously bothered by the turn
of things in the U.S. The past few years, and now Obama. Thing going
from bad, to even worse.

You need to give the man a chance.

I gave Bush a chance. I honestly did. It took quite a while to make
a judgment on him.

Obama is a lot better. Give the man a chance instead of believing
utterly disproven crap.

Problem is, who does the judging? You still don't believe in science
and deny global warming long after the debate was done and everyone
went home. You don't only know better than me, but the overwhelming
majority of trained expert scientists all around the world. And the
majority of voters, too.

Which either makes you omniscient like God, or just an arrogant
schmuck.

You know, if you wrote stuff like "I disagree with the judgement of
this election, and think we will regret our decision today", that
wouldn't be so bad. But to read your stuff, you already know exactly
how things will turn out four years from now.

Hell, that is God-like. You must share with us your secrets for
divining the future, so we can all benefit.

You don't have a grasp on what science is and you just like to shoot
your mouth off and ask questions later. What is the point of replying to
your posts? Your mind is closed to opposite argument or theory.

In that sense you are pointless.

I'm not an elitist. I think independently. You don't. You desire the
safe consensus view. I take the risk of being wrong. Then from your safe
and secure position attack me.

You are a thoughtless uncaring coward at best.

I'm actually concerned about what will happen in 4 years. "4" being
the operative word here. One needs to look at world history and go
back about 70 or so years. I'm really worried about the likability of
our new president - elect. That being said, he did definitely run the
better campaign. He used all of the "current" technology to its
fulest. It's not surprising that he won. However, it does make one
want to rethink the electoral college and it's original intent.

You have to wonder why things turned out like they did. Why the weakest
candidate was put up by the republicans and why Obama made it past
Hillary? Why didn't McCain pick from among the other republican rivals
for a running mate instead of the governor of Alaska?

These choices were not the way things would have gone in the past. All
the past playbook rules were ignored or changed. We ended up with two
terrible choices for president and VP. Over the hill, unreliable, and
unelectable on one hand or extreme liberal, no experience on the other.

In 4 years what will we have? Will Obama make it through the next 4
years. Will we still have a country resembling what we have today?

I don't have an answer for these questions other than our nations
institutions are breaking down. People voted for change. All I can say
is be careful what you ask for.

No, only one terrible choice: McCain, and one GREAT choice, Obama, who
is one of the first Democrats since 1964 to get *well* over 50% of the
popular vote.
Turnouts and lines unseen in recent times. This is not the result of
two terrible candidates. It's the result of ONE, and you and I both
know it's McCain.
