P.S.
If anyone has one they want to sell, (Cheaply!), I would be very
interested. :-)

Neither of these two units will win you many QSL contests.

Before you buy.

You'd have better luck with a DX-160 if getting the most QSL cards is your
goal. My 20 year old DX-160 with a 60' random wire will outperform my DX-394
with a multiband dipole any day of the week. The main appeal of the DX-200 is
its value as a collectors item. I suggest you try and pick up a used DX-160 on
eBay or one of the radio swap groups. While it's true that the DX-160 drifts
in SSB mode, it is much more sensitive than either the DX-394 or DX-200, and a
used DX-160 in good condition will only set you back about $40-$60.
Thanks!
Thanks

C-ya!
Steve
HI, Steve,
While I'd rather have a DX-302 than a DX-200, I hope you enjoy your DX-200.
If that's your first shortwave radio, you're starting out with a whole lot
more and even much more and better shortwave radio than was my first one, or
my second, one, or even my third one. And, unless you payed too much for
it, you might be able later to fetch at least as much if not more for it on
EBay than you payed for it, when you're ready for bigger, fancier, more
capable toys.
Anyway, do the most important thing, enjoy the hobby and have fun and learn
more about your world than you can in any other way short of actually going
there and spending a lot of carefully observant time there.
