Dear Sami:

Try Norham Radio, 4373 Steeles Ave., Toronto, 416-667-1000, or
Atlantic Ham Radio, 368 Wilson Avenue, Downsview, 416-636-3636.

Yours

Sami:

Here are two to start with:

- Atlantic Ham Radio, 368 Wilson Ave., Downsview Ph. 416-636-3636
- Norham Radio, 4373 Steeles Ave. W., North York Ph. 416-667-1000

As you probably know, you are required to produce proof of certification
and licensing to purchase transmitters and transceivers. No problem with
shortwave receivers, of course.

Sami there are two ham radio dealers in the Toronto area-they are
Atlantic Ham Radio on Wilson Avenue near Bathurst St. and Norham Radio
located on Steeles Avenue West near Highway 400 . I don't have the
street numbers sitting in front of me but when you get to Toronto
you will find them both in the Toronto telephone directory. Aside
from these two ham radio dealers there are numerous electronic shops
especially on Yonge St. in the downtown area that sell a number of
the shortwave portables made by Sangean, Sony and Panasonic as well
as many of the cheap portable shortwave receivers made in China sold
under numerous brand names.

Hello Sami;

There are two "full service" vendors in the Toronto area; they are:

Atlantic Ham Radio Ltd.
368 Wilson Avenue
Downsview Ont. M3H 1SN
(416) 636-3636
and
Norham Radio Inc.
4373 Steeles Ave. W.
North York Ont. M3N 1V7
(416) 667-1000
Fax (24 hrs) (416) 667-9995

There are other stores selling portables all over the place, including
several "Grey Market" outlets on downtown Yonge St.

What areas of the world ARE full 800Mhz range scanners allowed out of
the box? Does Canada sell 800Mhz Celular scanners?
