Unfortunately Alex Jones makes the sensationalist press look rational to
the detriment of the facts which get bulldozed:

Linkname: US terror plan was Cuba invasion pretext

U.S. considered faking terrorism by Cuba.

Fake terrorism has a long and illustrious history.

Linkname: Bin Laden comes home to roost
URL: http://www.msnbc.com/news/190144.asp?cp1=1
U.S. engaged in state-sponsored & funded terrorism by using him to help
the Mujihadin terrorise Soviet army in Afghanistan. What goes around comes
around. Whether or not he's now working w/a a rogue CIA cell.

Linkname: The Final Jihad - a novel of terrorism surpassing the events
of Waco and the Oklahoma City bombing

Many writers have good gov't contacts, like Martin Keating, who figured
out long ago that car & truck bombs will evolve into boat & plane bombs.

Linkname: The Lone Gunmen Realm: Pilot Episode

And these writers exploited the well known security laxness into a TV
episode about a jetliner being crashed into the World Trade Centre.

Notice that no El Al planes were hijacked. El Al not only has good
security but undercover security on all their flights. Their flight
personnel have better training. Even on busses in large Canadian cities
you'll find undercover agents, but only on a random basis.

The U.S. has the technology to be able to allow remote override of a
hijacked plane, at least in all the 'fly by wire ' planes. The cabin crew
should be able to press a button or 2 to make that irreversible in case of
hijacking.

At best, the U.S. airlines & the U.S. gov't are grossly negligent of not
meeting a known threat w/state of the art counter measures. I wonder how
long it will take before the lawyers get in on this?

At worst the U.S. contributed to the success of organised terrorism.
