That's how I feel about hearing a 100 KW station from Tennessee.

Since the Beeb only covers NAm by accident these days, I listen online
because sometimes content is king, rather than the medium.

When was the BBC DX ?

Until recently in the last decade or so the BBC was
everywhere and all the time ; and was for Program
Listening {Content : News and Info} via the Shortwave
Radio. -then-along-came-the-internet-

That can be said for many of the major 'National'
{Government Run} International Shortwave Radio
Broadcasters of the Past who wanted to Get 'Their
Message Out' via Shortwave Radio.
Voice of Moscow [VOR]; RHC; VOK; VOA; CRI;
ABC-RA; RNZI; DW; RNW; RFI; RCI; NHK; etc...
