He also wrote the shortwave column in the old Popular Electronics
magazine and was an editor with the Newark News Radio Club many
years ago.
I don't know if ol' Hank is still among us, but I was a member of the
Newark News Radio Club, back in 1963. I've moved several times and lost
the certificate. I remember that it had a foil "DX" emblem and it really
looked nice in this young man's "shack", hanging just above the
Lafayette HA-230 that my folks bought me from the Lafayette Radio
Electronics store off Broad Street, in Newark.
Have you ever seen a copy of their old catalogs?

Nice website....I especially liked the graphic of an early certificate.
It still looks good!!
Yes, Hank Bennett is still with us in retirement. His WPE/WDX program is
on hold for the time being. Hank is getting near the age of 80 years, and at
that age he has slowed down some what. At this time, I do not know what the
future status of his WDX Monitor Services is. He can be contacted at PO Box
9, Collingswood, NJ 08108.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday.
