Scientists OK Gore's movie for accuracy

By SETH BORENSTEIN, AP Science Writer

WASHINGTON - The nation's top climate scientists are giving "An
Inconvenient Truth," Al Gore's documentary on global warming,
five stars for accuracy.

The former vice president's movie — replete with the prospect of a
flooded New York City, an inundated Florida, more and nastier
hurricanes, worsening droughts, retreating glaciers and disappearing
ice sheets — mostly got the science right, said all 19 climate
scientists who had seen the movie or read the book and answered
questions from The Associated Press.
...

But those who have seen it had the same general impression: Gore
conveyed the science correctly; the world is getting hotter and it is
a manmade catastrophe-in-the-making caused by the burning of fossil
fuels.

HAHAHAHA

Letting AP interview and pick the scientists is like putting the editor of

That's Sen. Inhofe, who has a very tenuous grip on reality. That PR

Yeah, right. Hand caught in the cookie jar hyping a BS article, so it must
be Inhofe's fault. Next time, accept AP for what it is and has been shown
to be on numerous occasions.

You get a lot of benefits from the left-wingers that inhabit most of the
print press; accept the detriments when they embarass you on occasion.

The National Academy of Sciences' "Surface Temperature Reconstructions for
the Last 2000 Years" noted in their summary that there were "relatively warm
conditions centered around A.D. 1000 (identified by some as the 'Medieval
Warm Period') and a relatively cold period (or 'Little Ice Age') centered
around 1700." The hockey stick constructed by Mann and his colleagues
purported to show temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere remained
relatively stable over 900 years, then spiked upward in the 20th century.

"Today's NAS report reaffirms what I have been saying all along, that Mann's
'hockey stick' is broken."

"This report shows that the planet warmed for about 200 years prior to the
industrial age, when we were coming out of the depths of the Little Ice Age
where harsh winters froze the Thames and caused untold deaths.

"Trying to prove man-made global warming by comparing the well-known fact
that today's temperatures are warmer than during the Little Ice Age is akin
to comparing summer to winter to show a catastrophic temperature trend."

Too bad most no longer do that. They're more concerned in MAKING news than
reporting it. NYT = commie heaven.

Thank God for the NYT. Exposing lax security. If a newspaper hack
can find it out then so can the enemy.

Sounds like you agree we shouldn't tell reporters from the NYT anything
we wouldn't be happy to tell the enemy.

Perhaps the best way to do it is to tell all federal officials and
employees to stop talking to NYT reporters.

what seems likely is that in time perhaps everyone in the public sector
will stop talking to reporter not a good thing but better than the

Get ready to start paying a toll on Interstates and some Highways that
are not now toll ways. www.infowars.com
I stay off of those crazy road rage Interstates and fast traffic
Higways.(I drive too slow, about 35 to 45 miles per hour top speed and my
reflexes aren't what they used to be.I always take the slow poke back
roads) I doubt Highway 80 and Highway 18 and Highway 49 South will be
toll ways in my lifetime.

Most leaks such as these come from high level sources within the government
who are disgruntled employees, left-wingers, even spies or have an axe to
grind, etc. They certainly know full well what they should not be telling
the press. Which makes them all the more guilty to treason.

Maybe it's because you target the "liberal" media as being the source of
the problem when the truth is that someone in the government is the
source of the problem. You are remarkably silent when it could be a
"good" Repub that could be the source of the leak.

Your silence speaks volumes!
