For the first time in human history almost all of humanity is
politically activated, politically conscious and politically
interactive... The resulting global political activism is generating a
surge in the quest for personal dignity, cultural respect and economic
opportunity in a world painfully scarred by memories of centuries-long
alien colonial or imperial domination... The worldwide yearning for
human dignity is the central challenge inherent in the phenomenon of
global political awakening... That awakening is socially massive and
politically radicalizing... The nearly universal access to radio,
television and increasingly the Internet is creating a community of
shared perceptions and envy that can be galvanized and channeled by
demagogic political or religious passions. These energies transcend
sovereign borders and pose a challenge both to existing states as well
as to the existing global hierarchy, on top of which America still
perches...

The youth of the Third World are particularly restless and resentful.
The demographic revolution they embody is thus a political time-bomb, as
well... Their potential revolutionary spearhead is likely to emerge from
among the scores of millions of students concentrated in the often
intellectually dubious "tertiary level" educational institutions of
developing countries. Depending on the definition of the tertiary
educational level, there are currently worldwide between 80 and 130
million "college" students. Typically originating from the socially
insecure lower middle class and inflamed by a sense of social outrage,
these millions of students are revolutionaries-in-waiting, already
semi-mobilized in large congregations, connected by the Internet and
pre-positioned for a replay on a larger scale of what transpired years
earlier in Mexico City or in Tiananmen Square. Their physical energy and
emotional frustration is just waiting to be triggered by a cause, or a
faith, or a hatred...

[The] major world powers, new and old, also face a novel reality: while
the lethality of their military might is greater than ever, their
capacity to impose control over the politically awakened masses of the
world is at a historic low. To put it bluntly: in earlier times, it was
easier to control one million people than to physically kill one million
people; today, it is infinitely easier to kill one million people than
to control one million people.[1]

He's the guy who lured the Soviets into Afghanistan 'cause he knew it
would bankrupt them and demoralize them at the same time. Why Reagan
gets credit I have no idea. Bin Laden was Reagan's contribution. That
and close to a thousand missing Stingers.

Z.B. didn't lure anybody into going to Afghanistan . Neither did R.R.
The insane ayatolla had KGB worried about the spread of Islamic
Radicalism outside of Iran . Even Soviet military leaders were opposed
to the intervention , but they were overruled . . . You know the rest
of the story .

Screw all of that.I reckon it is still Saturday in Japan, but how many
hours ahead of Central Standard Time Zone in America is Japan?

I Reckon I should remember because I did a year in Vietnam in 1964.I
have a few big old World Atlas books here which has all of the Time
Zones all over the World, but it would take me a year to find them.

Screw all of that,,, What damn Time/Hour is it in Japan right now?

The simplest answer to all the CFL Bulb issues and
problems is the Glass Envelop A19 Configured CFL
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VS1HXC

The Glass Envelop acts as a Containment Chamber
for a Broken CFL and minimizes many/most of the
Hazard and Health Risks of CFL Bulbs.

The Glass Envelop A19 Configured CFL Bulb adds
about a Dollar to the Consumers Cost for the CFL
Bulb : But Saves Many More Dollars in Environmental
Handling and Clean-Up Costs related to CFL Bulbs.

Atlanta.

book floatin around here somewhere. The book has the World Time Zones in
there.I am too lazy to dig that book up though.

They (''They'') don't seem to think I should use my attic to stash a lot
of my old things up thar.
Sheesh, what are attics for anyway?
Another guy over there, he said, Good luck on getting a building permit
for that shed.
I am not bragging, (Fort Bragg is Bragging all the time) but I am not
too bad at carpentry.I have built two sheds before, one of them for my
1914 Ford Model T car, the other shed was for a guy who lives near
doggy's couch.Sheds are simple thingys.Anybody can build a shed.
