It appears that the Florida Highway Patrol has managed to come up with
so much money from issuing speeding citations they have upgraded
themselves to an 800 mhz astro motorola system from their older VHF four
channel radios.

It _appears_ these systems are NOT monitorable, even with a
trunktracker.

Has the news media found a solution around this yet? Is there some
means to still listen to them?

What I also would like to ask (in case someone knows!) is if either the
Orlando, Orange County, or Seminole County trunked systems can monitor
FHP by rebroadcasting them over there system so their "officers" can
talk to the FHP? I have seen this done in some places.

I am specifically looking for ways to listen to FHP in Seminole, Orange,
and some of Lake counties.

E-mail or post here please...

Ok in Orange and seminole County there is No way to Monitor FHP as of Yet
Unless you have an astro Radio = there is NO rebraodcast as the FHP Radios
(Astro Saber's) work in Non Digital and Digital Mode - FHP at this time is
DEFINATELY NOT allowing programming of any talkgroups for the Media or
anyone else....This is a sad situation as i am wondering what they have to
hide
maybe if all the Local scanner Listeners Petetioned<sp> their local state
legislators then we would have progress .

got to onelist.com and look for G.O.T.T.E.M or orlandotrunking
