Both of those are omni directional. If you don't want to use a rotor,
the 20-013 (discone) would probabaly be the best bet.
If you want a super antenna with a lot of gain, (but very directional)
that you MUST use a rotor with, how about a television antenna turned so
it has vertical polarity? I use the VU-210XR (15-2157) for $129.99. It
is a fringe TV antenna. It's big (190 inches long). But it is a heck of
an antenna. I can pick up the low power pit to car radios (450 Mhz) at
the Indy 500 track from about 30 miles. Also the 800 Mhz. At the other
end of the price range, RS also has the UV-75XR (15-2151) for $29.99. It
is very directional and also requires a rotor. Either of these will give
more gain than an omnidirectional antenna. The price you pay is that you
have to point the antenna at the transmitting antenna and you will be
blind to weak signals you are not pointed towards.
Everything has its up side and down side.
Hope this helps.
