I live in Portland, Oregon and I was just curious if anyone knew
one or two good frequencies that Amtrak uses in the area?

Thank you,

DL

Wow!

What an adventure! Searching for your information I found that there
are no AMTRAK licenses shown in Oregon, Wa. or California!

Next I went to POLICE CALL '96, by Gene Hughes. I found 5 Amtrak
frequencies as follows:

160.455 Amtrak, 160.815 (LA Switch), 160.815 (LA Road), 161.055R
(Police), 452.9R (Car Inspectors).

Then I searched PerCon's SPECTRUM 96 by frequency in California and
found:
NATIONAL RAILROAD PASSENGER COMPANY

Under that name I checked those three states again and found only
'hits' in California? They are as follows:

160.455, 161.055, 161.475, 452.9 and 457.9MHz

Hope this is of some help to you?

I am a Railroad and a Scanner hobbist here is what I have for Amtrak:

160.3050 Amtrak AAR 13
160.5450 29
160.7450 42
160.8000 46
161.2650 77
160.2800 78
161.3250 81

You may also try the local railroad (compnay who owns the tracks that Amtrak
is on; ie: Southern Pacific, Union Pacific, Burlington Northern, CSX, etc..).
Hope this helps.
