Thanks,

I have not heard a thing, but have been waiting eagerly for a computer
control software package. The current programming software from Bruce
Pope is very good and well worth the $10 but I want to be able to tune
and change settings in real-time from my computer. Still waiting...

Talked to them, the software they are selling is only PROGRAMMING
software. The guy indicated he did not think the radio was actually
'controllable' but Alinco's web site says it is. Still waiting...

The programming software and cable for $49.00 sounds like a good deal, since
buying the ICOM/Yaesu cable and modibying it would cost almost as much.
FYI, I asked Optoelectronics about 6 months ago if they were considering
making the SCOUT reaction tune compatible with the DJ-X10. They said they
had it on their plate to do, but there were higher priority things to be
done first.

Lately, I've been thinking of implementing some form of control, but
given the existing DOS environment, it might be kind of lame.
Give me some ideas on what you guys would want a control module to do.
Remember the DOS environment...be reasonable.

I have a windows based program the controls the Yaesu FT-990 and
the Icom 706, I tried to add the DX10 - I have figured out how to set
both VFO's from my program but I can't figure out how to do it without
the radio supplying an annoying reset at the end of the command
string.
Anyway, I would be happy with just a method to set the VFO's in
real-time. I'm not interested in 'computer-controlled scanning' just
computer control. A volume control would be nice too but I don't
think that's implemented at all in the command protocol.
