i fuond a scanner at a garage sale it is a icom r5. im new to this but
found a couple of local
signals. between the transmissions there is this annoying screeching
noise its not
interference because it suonds like man made tones. maybe they do that
to stop people from
listening i dunno. is there any way around these annoying tones

just outside of toronto its some kind of ambulance i think and after
looking around a bit i think you
are right about it being a trunked channel, in which case not much can
be done about those annoying
tones at least not on the icom r5. oh well i like listening to even the
airport and other stuff that doesnt have these noises so no big deal
really i guess. thanks for ur reply take it easy

Some great info.

I think drug tests are great. Since I have to pass them to earn money to pay
taxes, Everyone on or applying for welfare should have to pass them to get
some of my money.
