Can someone tell me where I could get a BC100XLT modified to scan
800Mhz?? Also does anyone have any idea what this should cost?
Thanks

The Bearcat 100xlt can be tricked into displaying 800 mhz, however to convert to 800 would be a major operation, not usually worth
the effort. The radio has no 800 receiver board, and the vco board is differs slightly from the 200xlt. While these boards can be
added, but the time you found them, replaced them, and then added the additional IC and parts for 200 channels (ais is the
BC200xlt), it would be price prohibitive.

Gerry,
Just wondering if you know how reset the old freqs that were
programmed into it when I bought it. I bought it from a guy and every
time the batteries run out it wipes out the freqs I've entered and
resets to the original ones. I assume it has a backup battery in it
or something. It is model BC 100xl portable. (an oldie)
Thanks in advance. (d...@admin.drake.edu)

Buy the grove freq. converter that mounts between the unit and the
antenna. About $60.00
