A special event station will commemorate the fate of the airship
Italia from the Milan Science and Technology Museum on May 25. On
that day, II1ITR replicates Italia's message sent from the Arctic,
between 08 and 14z on 40 and 20m (CW). Reception reports to

I, ITALY:
II1ITR (ops IK1RGK, IK1JJM, IK1XPE, IW1GJA, IW1GIO, IZ1SCF, IZ1ETD,
I1TWL, IW1BRR, IW2NUY, and IU1FLZ) commemorates the crash of the
Italia 95 years ago and the importance of amateur radio for the
successful rescue mission. QRV from May 25 until Dec. 7. An award

Akio, JE2QIZ, is back on the air as XZ2B from Yangon for 150 days

AS-200; JA5, SHIKOKU'S COASTAL ISLANDS: Take, JI3DST, signs JS6RRR,
JI3DST/5, JJ5RBH/5, and JR8YLY/5 between May 23 and July 5 on 80-6m
(CW, SSB, digital modes).

EU-008; GM/MM, INNER HEBRIDES; EU-108; GM/MM, TRESHNISH ISLES: Col,
MM0NDX, and Jonathan, MM0OKG, activate Tiree from the 26th to 29th
on 17-6m as MS0INT. They will try to visit Treshnish (EU-108) on
the 28th for a few hours, depending on weather conditions. QSL via
EB7DX, LoTW.

EU-012; GM/MM, SHETLAND: Jack, M0PLX, is currently active from Unst
and other Shetland Islands (Fetlar, Yell, Bressay, Trona, West
Burra, East Burra) until June 2 as MM0PLX/p. QRV on HF and 6m on

EU-021; TF; ICELAND: Chris, DL1MGB, will be active as TF/DL1MGB
from the 26th to 29th on 80-10m and during the CQ WPX Contest. QSL

Goran, YT7AW (SA7DXR), will be operating together as 9H6WPX between

EU-026; JW, SPITSBERGEN ISLAND: Rafal, SQ9CNN, operates from the
club station JW5E between the 24th and 29th as JW/SQ9CNN and as

EU-045; I*0, LAZIO REGION group: Lorenzo IB0/IZ0BVU and Dario
IB0/IW0RLC activate Ventotene Island from May 25 to 28 on 40, 20,
15, 10, and 6m (SSB, RTTY, FT8/4). QSL via IZ0BVU, LoTW.

EU-054; I*9, EGADI ISLANDS: A Belgian team is currently active from
Egai Isl. as IG9/OP8L until May 26, mostly on 20 and 15m (SSB). QSL
via ON8WTF, LoTW.

EU-189; GM/MM, ISLE OF ROCKALL: The vessel Taeping is due to depart
the port of Inverkip on the 26th and sail to Rockall. The voyage is
supposed to take about 36 hours. The team will try to climb the
rock on the 29th, including Nobby (G0VJG) and Emil (DL8JJ), who
plan to operate on 40-10m (CW, SSB, FT8) with two rigs as MM0UKI/p.
They plan to stay for 1 week. This will be only the third
activation of Rockall after 2005 (MS0IRC/p) and 2011 (MM0RAI/p).

NA-002; VP5, CAICOS ISLANDS: John, K4BAI, will be active from the
23rd to 30th as VP5/K4BAI and as VP5M during the WPX contest. QSL

NA-005; VP9, BERMUDA ISLANDS: Darrell, AB2E, will be active around

NA-022; VP2E, ANGUILLA: Rich KE1B and Anna W6NN are going to pay
Anguilla a visit from May 25 until June 1 and operate as VP2EAQ and

NA-100; V2, ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA: K4UEE, K5PI, W5MJ, and W5SJ
operate as V26RC, V26GB, V26MJ, and V26BP respectively between May

NA-103; VP2M, MONTSERRAT: George, K2DM, signs VP2MDM from the 25th

NA-112; W4, NORTH CAROLINA STATE WEST (BRUNSWICK TO CARTERET
COUNTY): Andy, AA5JF, activates Sunset Beach Island from the 24th

reschedule his trip to Gili Ketapang Island and was active from May

After 3 years of postponement, the DXpedition to Swains Island has
now been rescheduled for October 2023. The team has now signed a
contract with the island's owner; the vessel Manuatela is due to
bring them to the island on October 4. The team (ops Heye DJ9RR,
Rainer DL2AMD, Hans DL6JGN, Adrian KO8SCA, Max NG7M, Evert PA2KW,
Ronald PA3EWP, Martin PA4WM, Johannes PA5X, and Gerben PG5M) plans
