Does anyone have any experience with this radio? Is it any good? How much
power can be squeezed out of it? How does it receive? How does it sound?

I love mine. SSB is real stable. Audio is decent. Receive selectivity is
good.

Of course, non of us ever mod it over to 11 meters. No sir! But it works real
nice in that setup. I missed and have since added on the freq counter though.

Excellent... I love mine.. Although I don't think it has the punch
that the Grant XL etc have to get through the noise. I have upgraded
mine with some of the kits from www.pantherco.com They were very
helpful. Overall, I am happy with it, I suggest buying one...I only
use mine for CB, but I do occasionally listen to the 10 meter band
from time to time

Hello:

I own an operate a Ranger RG99 in my mobile.......For the price it is the best
talking radio out there.....I have no problem talking anywhere, and when you
get the modulation peaked up......It is an excellent skiptalker.

I love my RG-99 it works awesome on ssb , no drifting whatsoever. Because I use it for sideband I didn't do any mods for modulation. In spite of that it does have sufficient audio. I not really into obnoxious anyway lol
