cb amp.........only had it four weeks...........ran into

that a kick in the pants........aw hell.............let me go bid on
that bad boy.......i just can't wait........
Well at least he had enough sense to put it in the right category. Now that
is where you list it so it won't be taken off as contraband.
Good show ole boy! See some people can learn.

Don't bet on it a copy of the Xforce (cb) web page, and a few posts such as
your will do wonders to close your little loophole.
I am not sure what "my loophole" is referring to. But I am a little old.
Unless you are the ebay police. I have had an auction closed down for
listing in the wrong category. It didn't take but one time and I learned.
So when I do list I take extra care to put it where it should be.
I not trying to stir up trouble, just appreciating someone listing properly
on ebay.
Sorry if I offended you.
Deb.
Whats a bling bling, george? LOL!

Sorry Chappdick, never saw it but apparently you have.
That is a Bootleg CB amp
Rent it and see...I'll bet you resemble "Bling Bling".
Then do something about it, Georgie-Girl. Don't just sit there wringing your
hands and crying about it!
I did a little checking. that particular device may be listed as a 10
meter amp, but it is far too widebanded to be type accepted by the fcc
(thus it is prohibited equipment).
far be it from me to tell you what the law is (I am not a lawyer), but I
do know a few things about the FCC and how they enforce the rules. You,
sir, are in over your head on this one.
My suggestion, lose the amp. its not wiorth the fines and jail time it
will probably get you.

Again, another misinformed person concerning mere
possession, to use.

For use on the cb band, not 10 meter band

Probably and I'm sure it's for the Cb Band anyways.

Yes, you're right. After multiple warnings and notices
it will produce some sort of fine, Jail time? After years
of ignoring the notices & fines.

no... I beg to differ. I have seen some of the actions the FCC takes. in
so far as they are concerned 9and this is a matter of policy on their
part): possession denotes guilt automatically, whether or not the device
is used.

well, having worked on a few of this type of amplifier, I can tell you
with a certain degree of knowledge that the amp in question is VERY
CAPABLE of working in 11 meters with no retuning. It was designed to
operate there by the manufacturer (you can even check the website for the
technical specs on it). and it requires less than 10 watts drive. that,
in combination with what the FCC ruules have to say, makes this amp
"prohibited equipment".

more than likely...

hmmmm. well, I;ve seen a few people that ignore the fcc. they don't
ignore for very long (read the latest ARnewsline under enforcement).

no, but I bet you do...
I'm not much for typing... I;ve got way too many other things to be doing
with my time.

it is?
better go check the fcc webpages then. some of the info comes direct from
there, as well as other "government sources".
mostly, the fluff stuff is the awards notices.
I do't care how much the original manufacturer lists for MSRP on their
site, the market is the prevailing force here and that *thing* you are
selling is nothing more than a "class - c" amplifier (not even legal on
the HF bands).
care to lower the price to something a little more reasonable (like
$50.00)?
oh yeah, before you start BITCHING about this being a supposedly legal
amp, it ain't! Its on the list of prohibited devices (as listed on the
FCC database). Just so you know, I have personally owned one of these
devices (before I became a ham) and I know exactly what its capabilities
are, so please do me the favor of not lying to me in public!
you wanna sell it on Ebay, go right ahead. However, at that price, I
doubt very much you will see any takers anytime soon.
