Hey, any old KMET fans out there? I was sitting around listening to some
tapes I made from the Mighty MET, and was wondering....what ever happened to
Pat Kelly? He did the news, but he was really a funny guy - did some other
stuff on there that was a riot. I never heard from him again after KMET went
off the air. Does anyone know?

"Did you know," asked Pammy, "that there are 226,000 people in
Florida who are licensed to carry concealed firearms?"
"That's why the bad guys only rob the tourists," I replied.

He did a stint as the morning DJ on WNEW-FM in New York City ... very
unsuccessfully ... a couple of years ago.

Pat and his wife do travel commercials and travel "reporting" that I've
heard in the LA area. He married a well known local TV news/personality,
Melody Rogers, some years ago. He has also performed poetry/guitar in
small coffee-house venues around the Westside of LA. Never seen him in a
club, 'tho.
Last time Quat and I were in the same place at the same time was outside
Griffith Park Observatory for a good sized solar eclipse around 1978.
Any other KMET memories??

Well, in the early 70s I used to hang out in the control room of KMET and
often visit their tiny "paraquat room" next to the studio (this was in the
Metromedia bullding, not the Sunset Bl address across from the Tar Pits).
That and Jeff Gonzer's hospitality headed me into the business in which
I've been for the past 21 years.....
