I just found a cool site where many "where is" questions can be answered.
It is called 440:Satisfaction and the URL is:

http://www.440int.com/440satx.html

The information at this site says Bill Drake is presently consulting for
KRTH in Los Angeles. It has no listing for Steve Hunter.

Ted, I just noticed that seventeen years ago you were looking for me? Was I ever found? ;-)

Yes! Covington JHS in Birmingham, MI - not far away from our home on 13-mil
e. Linda was a wonderful, brilliant, charming woman -- who deeply loved tha
t school and all its students! If you had her as a teacher, you were lucky,
and you know what I'm talking about. She is now my "ex" -- and absolutely
one of the most remarkable people I've ever known.

To answer the original question: I went on to do radio in Boston and other
cities, and now run a company in Houston -- and still show up occasionally
in commercials and voiceovers, or hosting an occasional one-off show at var
ious stations that suggest an interesting project. And, yes, I do miss the
Motor Cities. 👍😇

I should update my previous posting. Linda Jolly (later Linda Thompson, fol
lowing our divorce and her remarrying a fine man from the Detroit area) die
d on May 4, 2010 in Houston, TX. She was very active in supporting student
extracurricular activites at Covington while she was there, especially stud
ent journalism and cheerleading, and she was a devoted "fan" of Covington,
which she regarded as a remarkable and superior middle-school, and an admir
er of its staff, its teachers, and of course and above all its students. Si
nce you had mentioned her in your original inquiry about me, I thought perh
aps you might remember her as a teacher, and as a leader and personal couns
elor. She was a remarkable human being, profoundly committed to the profess
ion of scholastic education and to the kids whose lives (she hoped and beli
eved) were changed through it and, often for the better, by their teachers.
