Just one new bit of info to report: After years as a CP, WXXW-FM 98.9
Webster, Mass. is on the air. The station had been testing for
several weeks on and off, and turned on the transmitter for good
Friday morning 4/8, playing nothing but Bob Seger's "Old Time
Rock and Roll" over and over and over and over again until 6:00
Monday morning 4/11. Now they're a mix of satellite "Hot Talk"
(Zippo, G Gordon Liddy) and satellite oldies. Nothing local to
mention. Slogan is "98-9 Double X." The signal is pretyt good...
city-grade over Worcester, listenable as far east as Framingham,
and barely audible in Boston.

More later on my one-day radio blitz of Cape Cod...
