A couple of months ago, I asked for some help on where the alums of these
great midwestern Top 40 giants might be. With some help from my friends
(pardon the pun), here's what I've come up with:

WLS (Stands for World's Largest Store) & WCFL (The Voice of Labor)

Larry Lujack (AM & PM Drive) - Retired, lives out West
Fred Winston (AM Drive on WLS) - Talent Agent in Chicago (Check out his ads
in R & R)
Bob Sirott (PM Drive) - Host of 'Fox Thing in the Morning' on WFLD
32/Chicago.
Art Roberts -
Chuck Buell -
John Records Landecker (Evenings 'Boogie Check') - Was in Toronto & Cleveland
doing AM Drive in the 80's, back in the Windy City at WJMK/Oldies 104
Jeff Davis - Voiceover talent and PM Drive at LA's Star 98.7/KSTR. Also
worked in LA for KRTH and KCBS-FM before their change to the ARROW.
Yvonne Daniels (Overnights) - worked for a couple of other Chicago stations
before dying of breast cancer a couple of years ago.
Tommy Edwards (Middays) - became a PD for CBS in Boston and now Los Angeles.
The person behind the ARROW format.

CKLW

Brother Bill Gable (Afternoons) - is AM Driver in Orlando at WOCL/Cool 105.
Big Jim Edwards - Now owner of Oldies 107.1 in Long Branch, NJ
Dave Schaffer -
Tom Shannon (Mornings/Middays) - worked in Detroit and Buffalo during the
80's, came to CKLW-FM in the late 80's-early 90's, current status unkown.
Chuck Morgan - Worked in Cincinnati in 1972-73, now ???
Charlie Van Dyke - Alive and well doing voiceovers from Phoenix, AZ.
Ted Anthony - Still in the Motor City doing voiceovers
Max Kinkle (Super Max) - Ex WCBS-FM overnight personality
Johnny Williams - Was host of 'Pillow Talk' in Detroit at WNIC & WOMC, not
sure where he is now--Cleveland is one possibility.
Ted Richards (Evenings)- was in both Detroit and Toledo, currently missing in
action.
Pat Holiday (Middays) - was in Cincinnati for a time in the 80's, now ????
Dick Purtan (AM Drive) - Still doing AM Drive in Detroit

and now CKLW 20/20 news:
Byron McGregor - Died last January.
Grant Hudson - owns Voicehouse, a voiceover company.
Joe Donovan - Morning anchor for CBS o&o WWJ-AM in Detroit.
Jon Belmont - Anchor for ABC Information Network.
Rabdall Carlisle - Worked in TV in Salt Lake City, Minneapolis & Houston.
Presently unaccounted for.
Keith Radford - Worked with R. Carlisle in SLC, now in Buffalo.
Steve Madely - In Ottawa.
Marc Daly - now at CITY-TV in Toronto.
Len King - with CNN in Atlanta.
Bob Loesure - CNN anchor
Lee Marshall - went to LA at KHJ and KMPC. Now sure where he is now.
Art Riley - Ran the Texas State Radio Network.

I'd like to thank everyone who helped out with this project, especially
Michael Lewis and Grant Hudson. I hope it brings back some memories.

A good friend of mine lived across the street from Art for many years
and may still be in touch. I'll phone him this afternoon and see what
I can find out.

Johnny Williams formerly of CKLW is now doing middays at WQAL in
Cleveland and I believe Pat Holiday is programming in Montreal.
