Here are more details on the death of Charlie Minor based on the LA Times
article of 3/20, it was written by Hugo Martin a Times Staff Writer.

Colorful Record Promoter Fatally Shot

Music Industry exec Charles Minor is found dead at his Malibu home after a
quarrel with his ex-girlfriend, who is being held.

One of the music industry's more colorful executives was shot to death
Sunday at his Malibu home, and an ex-girlfriend was later tracked down and
arrested in Santa Monica, authorities said.

Charles Minor, an executive at Hits magazine and former president of Giant
Records, Minor 46, was found dead at his rented Malibu Home following an
argument with Suzette McClure, 27, who was booked for murder after two
people heard gunshots and authorities found Mcclure's driver's license in
Minor's house.

"He was just a working class boy from Marietta, Georgia who hit it big"
said Mike Bone, a long-time music industry promoter who knew Minor for
over 20 years when both were starting out in the business.

Witnesses told investigators that McClure had gone to Minor's Malibu home
at about 11:30 am and asked to speak to him. Moments after she went
upstairs, a friend of Minor's and a housekeeper heard several four
gunshots. Deputies later discovered Minor's body on the secound floor
landing.

McClure left but was tracked down after police found her drivers license
at the house.

Minor lived in Beverly Hills, but spent most weekends in the Malibu home
on the Pacific Coast Highway.

That's the story from the LA Times, guess we'll hear
more in the trades next week. Sorry to see such a nice guy leave us that
way.

Charlie certainly was one of the good guys. Adam Cook and I were both
shocked to hear the news. We both knew him for over 15 years and can only
just offer prayers for his family.

Minor". I was trying to see that documentary but I couldn't get to it, I wa
s looking for some information and that brought me here, 26 years later, I
hope guys you're doing ok, really nice to find old internet messages.
