Have you ever wondered how some ruully, rully, big RF tubes would work
as audio amplifiers? Like maybe a 3-500Z?

Many of the Eimac power triodes and tetrodes are rated for use at AF.

The 3CX400A7/8874 is a compact high-mu power triode
intended for use in zero bias Class B amplifiers in
audio or RF applications. Operation with zero bias
simplifies circuitry and cathode driven operation is
attractive since a power gain as high as twenty can be
obtained.

The 5CX1500A is designed for use as a Class AB1 linear
amplifier in audio or radio frequency applications. Its
characteristic low intermodulation distortion makes it
especially suitable for single sideband service. The
tube is also recommended for use as a Class C RF power
amplifier in CW, FM and AM service.

The 5CX1500A is good for 3200 Watts as a class AB1 audio power amp:

MAXIMUM RATINGS TYPICAL OPERATION
Class Type of Service Plate Voltage (Volts) Plate current (Amps) Plate Voltage (Volts) Screen Voltage (Volts) Plate Current (Amps) Drive Power (Watts) Output Power (kiloWatts)
AB1 AF Amplifier or Modulated 4,000 1.0 3,800 500 1.3 -- 3.22

A look through the catalog at <http://www.cpii.com/eimac/index.html>
is very instructive.
