Have a requirement to make an interface cable to connect an FT-90 to a
Motorcycle Helmet Sprkr/Mic Assy which has a MALE (tip-ring-ring-sleeve)
Plug on it.

I need a Yaesu Female connector (tip-ring-ring-sleeve) and will connect
the other end of the cable to the FT-90 Mic & Ext Spkr jack.

Does anyone know of a supplier of the Female 4 Condr Connector OR has a
scrap Yaesu Portable that I can salvage the Remote Jack connector for this
project.
Tnx & 73...Norm VE3CZI

The first couple years those radios were out you couldn't find them. I
actually made a couple for myself. HOWEVER now they can be found abundantly
at hamfests, just check with the big connector dealers (sorry no names come
to mind) (possibly rainbow).

Sometime in the past year, there had been a similar request on one of
the radio groups, and I and several others had replied with specifics.

In ham radio, that connector is used on several Yaesu HTs, including
the FT-50/10/40, VX-150, VX-5, etc.

It is also used in some newer high-end video components.

Happy trails,
