Missouri University of Science and Technology Amateur Radio Club --
W0EEE -- Celebrated The 100th Anniversary of the Club's Founding and
65th Anniversary of ARRL Affiliation on April 15, 2023.

The Club held a 100th anniversary Open House at their club station last
Saturday. The station is located in Emerson Electric Hall on the
university campus in Rolla, MO. More than 50 club alumni, friends and
guests gathered together to renew old friendships and celebrate this
auspicious occasion. The Open House was followed by a pizza dinner at
the local campus favorite, Alex's Pizza Palace. After dinner, ARRL
Midwest Division Director, Dr. Art Zygielbaum, K0AIZ and ARRL Midwest
Division Vice Director, Dave Propper, K2DP, presented the club with a
copy of the 100th Anniversary Edition of the 2023 ARRL Handbook and a
plaque from ARRL recognizing 65 years of the club's affiliation with
the ARRL.

Attending the events were current students, graduate students and
alumni, along with current faculty advisor, Dr. Kurt Kosbar, K0SBR, past
faculty advisors, ARRL representatives and friends of the club. Dave,
K2DP, noted that it was great fun to talk with the student members of
W0EEE and learn what the interests were in engineering and how Amateur
Radio played a significant role in their decision to choose a career in
engineering and/or technology.
