I inherited an ICOM R70 communications receiver with the IC-CK70 DC Power
Cable Kit installed. This IC-CK70 kit allows the R70 to run with 12vDC

According to the original IC-CK70 instructions that I have, the radio will
also be able to run with 120vAC "if the jumper plug is inserted into the DC
power connector"

I would like to run the receiver on AC, but I don't have the jumper plug. I
can easily make one if I had the pinouts.

The DC power cord looks like this:

pin
|-----|
1 | o | gnd
2 | o |
3 | o |
4 | o | +12vDC
\ /
\ /

I looked inside the R70, and pins 2 and 3 have connections going to the
power supply circuit board (as well as pins 1 and 4). I'm guessing that
pins 2 or 3 have to be connected to pin 4 to allow AC operation.

Would you have any information on the jumper plug pinouts for the R70 with
the DC power kit to operate on AC? I don't have a copy of the schematic,
and the IC-CK70 information only says "For AC Operation: The set can be used
the same as before, however don't forget to insert the jumper plug into the
DC power connection."

Also, would you have a copy of the schematic of the R70? I have the owner's
manual, but no schematic.

Thanks!
