According to the manual, there are two modes of repeater operation for the
V7A.
1. Locked band repeater: One band does RX, one band does TX... Period.
I got this working just fine.... BAND SEL + POWER ON
2. Crossband repeater: Signals from either band will be repeated to
the other. Seems to me this is the only useful type, but anyway... Manual
says Press CONT SEL... then press BANDSEL + POWER ON.. When I do this, mine
comes up in Locked band mode

Has anyone been able to make this work?

Thanks,
Bryan, KD4IIC

Make sure you're not in a PM memory mode, then it should work fine. I had
the same problem, after changing that it was ok.

Thank you... that wasn't my problem but it got me to playing with it a
little more...The manual should read more like this...

1. Press the right or left [BAND SEL]
2. Press [CONT SEL]
3. Turn off the radio. This was a step that was left out. I was doing
the next step twice... Once with the rig on and once with the rig off...
4. Press the left [BAND SEL] + POWER ON to enter Crossband Repeater mode.

Again thanks for your help

Works fine on mine... Just as a note, after I performed the initial mod on my
TM-7VA, it appeared that neither the DSS or the PAGE worked, I ended up
resetting the CPU, and it works fine now.... If you still have problems, maybe a

reset is in order.

Here's a web site that not only helped me decide to get one of these

Ooops - add the 'M' to the end of the URL I posted and it'll work.
