What's next for Yaesu?

I noticed that Yaesu canceled a few of their flagship mobiles and HTs in
recent months. Any idea what they are working on replacements?

Yup .. IMHO, I think the dumbest thing they disco'd was the FT-8800. That
Radio was a pure rock star.

Agree, that was a good radio.

Following up to my original post, it looks like they are putting out an
FTM-500 model that takes the place of the FTM-400. From the build sheets
I've seen so far it actually looks like a downgrade from the 400, but I
guess they are having issues sourcing components.
