I don't know about stores, but the way things go here in the US, most
radios are probably *made* in Singapore :-).

Have you visited Sin Lin Square? It is a big electronic outlet
covering at least a city block in Singapore. When I was last there
(1994) I did notice some Ham equipment. Sorry I lost the business
card to one of the many merchants that are located in that building
but it is a big place for all electronics, from test equipment to
computers.
Good Luck,

Someone told me that there is "Ocean Radio" ham radio equipment store in
S'pore with huge stock list and very good prices. Does anybody knows is this
store in Sin Lin Square or located somewhere else?

You REALLY will have to search meticulously for HAM gear in all those
electronic stores. There are no specific HAm stores, they sell all kinds of
stuff mixed; HiFi, world receivers, cameras and ham stuff and so on. (at
least when I was there, a year ago)
In any case, these Sim Lim locations are a heaven for the electronics
shopper. TONS of little stores and very interesting gadgets.
The best deals on ham stuff you can get is for slightly older models. I had
real good deals on some Icom radios.
It is custom to bargain but don't overdo it. The best you can get is 15%
off, but settle for 10% if negotiations are tough, it is still a good deal.
Good luck and have fun
Loek
