BCC 2008 - RESULTS:

Since 20th November you are able to find the resaults of past BCC:
2008 was another year with great operation and a growing number of
Meteor Scatter enthusiasts allover in Europe. We could not find a
real maximum in our "TOP 7" statistic, the first night started with
a great number of good MS-contacts, nearly the same at the following
2 nights... Now we are anxious to see the 2009 propagations!

I am sorry to report that Bob Taylor, W5LBT, died on November 20
at the age of 78, after a long battle with Alzimers disease. As
many of you know, Bob was a regular on 2 meter EME in the 80's and
90's, and had many ham radio friends. He hosted the EME conference
in Baton Rouge in 1992, and the Central States VHF Conference there
in the early 1980's. Bob knew his Savior, Jesus Christ, loved people
and was a great help to many of us. We will miss you Bob, RIP.
SOURCE: Dave, W5UN via MoonNet - The Team of MMMonVHF will pass our
deep sympathy and condolences to his family. Rest in peace, Bob!

AD4TJ and Plans for ARRL EME Contest
Good morning all. Please look/watch for AD4TJ this weekend on 2
meters; calling CQ 144.130 QRM on JT65b; also will look for CW
stations in the CW band. Won't call CQ there as I don't believe
my setup is strong enough to make it worthwhile. F1FLA, be alerted
that I will answer your CQ! We have yet to make it on CW, all I
get is QRZ? Good luck to all, and hope the weather cooperates for
all you big dish owners! 73, Virginia, USA 4x15 K1FO horizontal,

SP7DCS will be qrv on cw random unassisted on 3 bands - 2m, 70cm
and 23cm this weekend. Operators: Chris SP7DCS, Maciek SP7MC We
do hope to make a lot of qsos on all bands. Degradation looks to
be extremly low on 2m so I would like to encourage small stations
to try some CW. I also hope for more 70cm activity than in first

C9 EME Trip in early December 2009 - Hi Lance, I exchanged 3 e-mails
today with C9 authorities and 2 calls, but yet do I have anything of
proof ! They insist I have to come to Maputo to collect the license,
and im not going near there, its about 300 miles on very mad 4x4
tracks from where I will be to Maputo ! So I wont be taking any Ham
gear, not even HF in my car will go with. Im also now just going to
stay till Sunday morning so perhaps we van try from ZS5 Sunday or
Monday ! 73's And again im feeling realy bad ! Derek Gravett
