Any of the big US discount marine supply outlets will carry GPS receivers.
The Garmin 45, currently one of the best buys, is typically sold for around
$299 by these outfits. This is a wonderful little handheld unit. It's water-
proof, runs off ordinary batteries or external power, and offers NMEA output
to work with other marine electronics such as autopilots.

Check with your local marine supply outlets first, and if they can't
approach the above price, post back and we'll give you some addresses
for discount marine stores in the US.
