N1RZB,
This same question has been asked and answered a number
of times in this NG. If you will check the back posts, you'll
find more than you ever wanted to know about it.

OM I'm not certain if I have the right antenna but if you are referring
to the T2FD, a type of folded dipole with the resistor at the feed point
then I have some anecdotal performance measurement for you. The
observation was in a three way qso on 75 meters at night with only
moderate QSB. One station about 300 miles North of San francisco Bay
Area was running the B&W terminated dipole. Myself and the other local
station were using dipoles. Considering the vaguaries of most s-meters
we took a best guess at the amount of attenuation when the T2FD station
swithced ab style between the B&W and an ordinary dipole. We concluded,
on balance, about and at least a 10db difference favoring the dipole.
There's been quite a bit of prior discussion on this topic on this
newsgroup but I'm not sure how to access the archives.

It proves that any antenna will "work".

Are you considering it for the size or the fact that it is
"broadbanded"?

Do a google search for "T2FD" and you will find loads of information.

Search on "Cebik".

W4RNL has modeled the T2FD.

Click on "Tales and Technicals". Then on, "Practical Antenna Notes".
Finally, click on "Modeling the T2FD".
