Check out the Bandhopper antenna by Ben Grace in Clancy, Montana. After
trying the various screwdriver and bugcatcher types, most American
long-haul truckers have chosen the Bandhopper as the one they can depend on
for 200,000 miles per year, year after year.

You can get more info at the Bandhopper web site

Hi Richard, I use a 17 ft. whip with an SGC230 autotuner to cover 20m-10m. The 17ft
whip is only one 'S' unit down from my bugcatcher on 40m. Haven't tried it on 75m.
For comparison, a base loaded 102" whip is about 3-6 dB down from a bugcatcher with
no top hat.

Hi all,

I need a mobile HF antenna, which covers all bands from 80m to 10m, and can be tuned with an
ATU. Anyone have any construction ideas, or knows where I can obtian such a beast?

Please send replies to my email address, and if possible, include Web address for
construction ideas or manufacturers. I know it's a big ask, but I have no idea where to
begin!

Sorry, I was thinking 13 ft on 17 meters when I wrote this. I actually
use a 13 ft whip to cover 20m-10m when moving. I will try to attend this
year's CA mobile shootout, not with the intention of winning, but with
the intention of gathering a few data points, like a 13ft whip with the
SGC230 on 3995MHz. Say, Jesse, when is this year's "shootout"?

Check www.qrz.com web site and look up W6AAQ address. He has the
DK-3 (screwdriver) available for US shipping and antenna for US$150.00.
I do not know the cost for international shipping.
