Can anyone help me with the design of a simple transmitter and reciever
with a short range of a few feet?? I cant seem to find anything on the
net that will tell me how to build a simple Tx and Rx. any info or
schematics would be greatly appreciated!!!

What do you want it to DO? That, for a start, would let me choose an
appropriate waveband and power level. Without knowing that, there are
too many hundreds of possibilities.

Maybe someone can help find information about the following applications.
I am looking for two system applications:
- A simple transmitter and receiver set that can send a
signal within a house to activate a relay or a light. What do you have
to do this? As an example, I have looked at a typical garage door system
and it will work, but it would have more capabilities than what I need.
- I am also looking for a long range transmitter/receiver (up to
3 miles) to send a simple signal (data burst). What do you have for this?
