WTB Fiberglas rod or information on supplier

I am building a 160 meter vertical and need a two foot piece of 5/8"
solid fiberglas rod. I have not been able to find a supplier. Does
anyone know of one or have a piece of 5?8" rod for sale?

The commercial plastic suppliers in Texas used to stock or could get this
stuff. It has been years but I used to buy it from Cadillac Plastics in
Houston, TX all the time.
You should be able to look in the yellow pages of the phone books for
the big cities near you at your local library! From that, you may be able
to get both phone numbers for them, and in event that is out of your price
range, addresses to which you can write snail mail info letters.
I do not know of a current manufacturer of the stuff, but that's how to get
started on your quest.

Hi Larry, Ryan Herco is in Seattle as well as Portland, San Jose,
Anaheim, Tempe (AZ), Albuquerque, Austin, and Houston. They have
a complete line of fiberglas products.

I'd suggest you try the USA's best mail order hardware store! If you are
into building or maintaining towers or antennas (or about any other
application requiring sophisticated hardware), you can't beat them!
