KMFDM stands for the german phrase: Kein Mitleid Fur Die Mihrheit
This translates roughly to: No Pity For The Majority
Maybe they should be called NPFTM in the states. :-)

I don't think anyone is going to get this, so here's my guess; they
are the vowels in the word "ultraviolent" (from _A Clockwork Orange_).

The completely untrue one I was referring to above was "Kylie Minogue Fans
Don't Masturbate". The other was the first one you mentioned. I think this
is a very interesting and informative thread with great potential, but I have
a feeling others may disagree... perhaps any follow-ups should go to
rec.music.industrial ?

Well, they were distributing flyers on the last tour that had a list of the
"supposed" meanings, but I forget most of them (mine is at home), but the
name KMFDM is short for Keine Magheit Fur De Maltheid (I dont know German, so
I am not sure about the spelling), and this, according to the flyer has the
approximate meaning in English...No Majority For the Pity....(Maybe they
meant No Pity for the Majority...??)....
