THIS SENTENCE HAS 22 LETTERS.
THIS SENTENCE HAS a lot of LETTERS.
THIS SENTENCE HAS many LETTERS.

Oh, obviously we could substitute the spellings for different numbers
in it but that would take up a lot of time and I'm lazy :)

OK...new rule - the blank MUST refer to a specific number, and
not
just a generalized answer.

This means we have one answer - 22! Any other answers?

The only stupid question is the unasked question.
And that's a good thing, because I hate stupid questions!

follow-up message that the blank MUST refer to a specific number,

and not just a generalized answer.

Very nice, except for the niggling detail that it only has 34 letters.
But it can be easily fixed:

THIS SENTENCE HAS THIRTY AND FIVE LETTERS

New ones:
THIS SENTENCE HAS TWENTY-FIVE PLUS NINETEEN LETTERS
THIS SENTENCE HAS TWENTY-SEVEN PLUS EIGHTEEN LETTERS
THIS SENTENCE HAS TWENTY-EIGHT PLUS SIXTEEN LETTERS
