It's not obsolete at all. It's still perfectly valid legal tender.
It's just that they are only generally issued for special occasion (I
think one was issued for the Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002.)

Me either, not being a sports fan, but how many teams are in the Atlantic Coast

9. Unless you count Virginia Tech and Miami in which case there are... um....

Not any more. The line from Oxford to Cambridge closed about 30 years ago
although it might have been about the right distance.
Oxford to Cheltenham is 78 miles.

Length of the River Thames is 97 Miles?

Hmm, only if some recent earthquake has shifted Kiev north by several
hundred miles.
> > > > L of the RT is 97 M

Non tidal navigable length of the River Thames (Lechlade to Teddington) is
125 Miles. There is a further tidal section of 25 miles to the Thames
Barrier at Greenwich. Where the estuary stops and the North Sea begins is
moot, but maybe 10-20 more miles. Above Lechlade there is at least 15 miles
or more or less un-navigable (except by canoe).
Or to put it another way, No!

The hotmail address in the header will find me only with about 40%
probability. Much better would be to use the same name at comcast.net;
you'll just need to converse with my spam interceptor first if we haven't
corresponded before.
What search criteria did you use?

I typed (note the quotes):
river "97 miles long"
The third match is the Tweed.

You can get a narrowboat a couple of miles upstream from Lechlade, to
the point where the derelict Thames and Severn Canal starts.
