Most of us know the applets from mazeworks (Bob Kirkland) - fiver,
tactix, hound and hare, etc. What happened to the website? I am trying
to download the free source code from them.

Sad news.

Based on a www.google.com search, Robert D. Kirkland (07/16/1954 -
02/10/2002) died early this year. My guess is that his website was
discontinued after his death.

A few months ago the site was still up and featured a
dedication to Kirkland. It was maintained by his associate
David Herzog.

I contacted David a few days ago and asked him if mazeworks
had been shut down, but he says that he's "in the process of
moving it to a new ISP and that it will be back soon."
