I am looking for more games like them. Specifically games that have
this in common:
- Puzzle games
- No time limit or arcade action
- Attractive/fun/pleasant to work with
- A variety of challenges; never too repetitive.
Can anyone else suggest some games that are like the ones I listed
above?
A couple extra notes about two puzzle games that I consider "Near
Misses":
There's a game called "Jelly Blocks" that technically meets my
criteria:
http://www.jellyblocks.com/
But there's something about it that I can't really embrace. There's a
certain "fun" that's missing from the game; it feels like just more of
a hassle.
The "Grow" games technically meet my criteria too, but there's
something about their logic that I can't quite embrace, although I've
heard good things about "Grow Tribute":
http://jayisgames.com/archives/2006/10/grow_tribute.php
(One review said "I particularly liked that solving this game seemed
to progress logically for me, relying less on trial and error than
with some other Grow games and clones I've played.")
Any other suggestions would be very welcome. (I wonder if there
should be a big list or FAQ full of these.)
BrainBashers will have quite a few, but I can never remember what they're
all called.
I'll try to add any listed in this thread.

I played that game for a bit, but it had one "flaw" which makes me
think I need to add one more criteria:
- If the game goes on for a large number of levels, then there should
be some way to "save" your progress and return to the game later.
After 10 or so levels on this new game, I realized that I hadn't been
given any password codes or any way to return to where I left off.

These may suit your fancy:
Boomshine

Psychopath:
<http://www.k2xl.com/games/psychopath/index2.php>
This one is designed for kids, but it's still fun:
Spaced Penguin:
<http://www.bigideafun.com/penguins/arcade/spaced_penguin/info.htm> It
looks like an arcade game but the skill is in figuring out the
trajectory you need. One drawback-- the levels don't change on replay,
so once you've figured out direction and strength for a level you can
get it every time.
Light Brigade, from the same people as Spaced Penguins:
<http://www.bigideafun.com/penguins/arcade/light_brigade/default.htm>
Once again, the levels don't change once you've solved them, but some
of them are really difficult. It'll be good for a while, at least.
Catapult:
<http://www.lapoo.nl/catapult2/> The changes in wind direction and
speed are tricky.
There are a bunch of them here, in fact:
<http://games.lapoo.nl/>
but the list in in Dutch, so you kind of have to look around and dig
out the ones you want. Lots of variants on the penguin-flinging games
under the section headed "pinguin" and a whole section of puzzle
games, some god, some kind of lame.
Spashback: Kind of like Blobs, but not entirely
