A few months ago someone posted an illusion in which there is a white
checkerboard square and a black checkerboard square in a picture. Both of
the squares are actually the same shade of gray, it was pretty amazing.
Anyway discover magazine had a similar illusion with yellow and blue squares
both being the same shade of gray. I copied just the two images here:
