There used to be a few pages of such puzzles on the Washington
University archive at

I don't know if they are still there nor which directory they would
be under.

You could also try searching for 'dingbats' or 'rebus'. I have seen the type
of puzzle you describe going under both these names

Paul, I found them and there are 9 pages of them. They are located in the
misc_documents section at the above website. Thanks Glen for the info about the
Worzels.
