Hi,

I've just thought of a new question for a Common Answers on BrainBashers,
and one potential answer bought a smile to my face.

For the uninitiated the object of the contest is to second guess everyone
else and enter the answer you think everyone else will enter.

One potential answer is Africa, so what was the question that made me
smile?

I will run it as a genuine question in Sept or Oct, so an OB puzzle is how
many people will enter Africa as their genuine answer? Discounting anyone
who has read this thread.

I think we're all missing the point, it's amusing because it's a totally
incorrect answer.

This reminds me of a conversation once had by my son and his cousin.

They were talking about 'Super Soakers' and discussing which was the best.
One said to the other :
'My favourite is the Super Soaker 3000'
'Yeah, but that's only out in Africa'
'Yeah'

I was in stitches :o)
They were very young.

So you can second guess my second guess.

Yea, we all missed that point because you never told us. What you
did say is that Africa is a potential answer. If it is an incorrect
answer, it is a potential answer to ANY question.

For the obvious irony that you were finally asking a question to
which Africa would be correct. As I said, since it is an incorrect
answer, your puzzle is pointless; the question could be anything.
You might just as well ask "guess what makes me smile."

Not at all...

What question might I ask, to which Africa is an incorrect answer, but in
light of Africa being an incorrect answer for another previous question,
would in this case make me smile? Specifically it's Africa that will cause
the amusement, and no other answer could possibly do so.

And when I reveal the answer, I know for certain that a few of the regulars
will certainly groan, if not smile.
