My pond is a bit murky since I shut down the filter and just have a
ariator going... Water ph and ammonia test come back fine.. I do
have a plastic cover over it and on warm days I remove it.. Today was
a warm day and that is when I noticed the water color change.. My
fish are doing well the little ones swim up for food, although I was
told not to feed them, so I pretend not to see them beg :)... The
parrots feather is striving well, I sunk it to the bottom of the pond
(I had it floating over the summer) and it has already reached the
top.. Is this color change normal or should I be worried? Thank you

I guess I better start reading the header first huh? Brown
water is usually a sign of leaves decaying in the water.
Did you clean the pond before you covering?

Are you expecting the pond to freeze over where you are? I would be
concerned about the number of fish for that size pond. There might not be
enough oxygen for them all.

I have a aerator with two air stones in my pond and a de-icer.. I
trimmed all the plants back as necessary...
