Tips for landscape photo in Kinabalu Park

I am a photography novice. I will visit Kinabalu Park in East Malaysia at
the end of september. I would like to ask if there are any tips for taking a
nice landscape photo on high mountain (eg. which kind of negative film, ISO.
And what techniques are best to use).

I am using 35mm camera and own a 81C & a CPL filter. I will also bring my
tripod on that time.
